I got the same IRS call. Identified himself as Officer Mark Brown, Senior Investigation Officer. I listened to his pitch, he offered one last opportunity for me to settle my fraudulent tax issues....not even a bit convincing

Same thing happened to me today, twice within 3 hours! So I called back and the guy answered, "IRS". I said yeah right. Stop calling me. You're not the IRS and if you are, put it in writing and mail it. He then said "don't yell at me, I'm not your boyfriend." Stupid scammer!!! I hung up and blocked the number.

An automated voice notified me that I have been charged with a crime for withholding income from the IRS, and I need to call the number back because I owe money. The IRS will NEVER call about collections. They will only send mail.
