The individual impersonated as an IRS agent and they were contacting me to return a call to them as an urgent matter regarding my income tax and that unless I return their call within the next 12 to 24 hours a police officer will show up at my door to make an arrest.

They call from Adams NY. They say this is a recorded line and ask "can you hear me okay" and start talking about hearing aids and ask if anyone in your family needs a hearing aid.

they are impersonating the IRS. The IRS do not Call there clients.. you are scammers trying to scare people... i will report you to the Authorities.
