I got the same text message, saying it was B of A and my debit card was locked, and to call this number to have it unlocked. I do have B of A but have been getting a lot of fraud attempts so I was suspicious. It appears this is another fraud attempt.

Calls constantly and never leaves a message. We do not answer calls we donââ¬â¢t recognize.

They said they were calling about a debt. They would not tell me what or who for though. They said a bunch of names at the beginning, I thought it was an attorney office at first. Since they refuse to say who the debt is owed to, it must be a scam. No true debt collector holds back that info.

It started out saying "Someone complimented you! See more on:" followed by two links; one for iOS, and one for Android phones. Here's the link for Android phones: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.irl.android
It's basically an advertisement to download an app, "IRL -- Let's Hang".

Calls come into my government work number and when answered, no one is on the line and a hang up occurs. When you call back, the number is no longer in service.

Left a message that my email and computer information is going to be hacked. I must call their number 844-879-3977 to pay the ransom and not have my identity stolen.
I realized it was a scam. Called the police. They said there was nothing they could do - only if money was exchanged. DUH!

Total scam want social security number and banking info. Said they were Capital one bank. When I said I wasn't comfortable giving it out they quickly ended the call. I am unclear how they have my information but they knew my name and address and obviously my phone number
