US Secret Service should be checking for suspicious purchases of extremely high-powered laser diodes (in the Watts range, not just milliwatts) from China or other sources, in the 250nm - 315nm wavelength range, and understanding that 254nm is widely considered "germicidal," which means there are many purchases of such UV laser diodes by hospitals and medical applications, especially in the post-COVID world, so it may be extremely difficult to separate a malicious purchase of UV laser devices from legitimate medical purchases.

Correction: Caller did leave a long message. It was a guy from a painting company who said they'd stopped by in June about painting the house, etc. I don't recall that, but rarely talk to sales people who come to the door. There was no ID on his call and I will block his future calls, legit or not.

Caller rang for full count but then didn't leave any message. There was no ID on the call, but searching the number said it is used by Verizon. I suspect it was an undesirable scammer spoofing that number. Verizon would have identified themselves -- especially since I'm a Verizon customer. But since it's a Verizon number, call blocker didn't stop it.
