Started with phishing email to my office account. Pretended to be our CEO (lol). Asked for my cell# for an urgent task. Ok, no big deal. Then I received a text to go purchase some gift cards, take pictures of the front and back and a picture of the receipt. Ive been messing with this guy for nearly 2 hours now.

I get dozens of calls a week from local to me numbers?
All are 478-234-???? numbers - they change the last 4 digits each time I block them. These are all UNKNOWN numbers - and when searching online - they usually have no name associated with them? Many times searches show they are numbers purchased in "Blocks" whatever that means?
Or the number is currently on a switch number?

SOME ONE CALLED FROM THIS NUMBER AND SAID I HIT HIS CAR AND LEFT A NOTE ON THE WINDSHIELD. I DID NOT DO SUCH THING AND HAVE NOT BEING IN MACON FOR A LONG TIME. THIS MAY BE ANOTHER WAY TO SCAM PEOPLE FOR MONEY. VERY AGGRESSIVE TONE.

Same Same Same story. He had us go to Richmond ave in Macon and give 40.00 for "Fuel" so he could go get the car. There was no car all was a scam, pretended to be talking to his "father" but it was just him.
Scammed us out of 100.00.

I believe this was a scam. Someone named "Mr Taylor" called my office, wanting to know if we knew someone who was in need of a car. He said that his wife's mother passed away 3 weeks ago, it was her car, and they had no where to store the car, and no use for the car. It was a 98 Honda Civic. He sent me a picture of the car. He said that I should just get the car and do with it what I wanted. He wanted me to meet his "son" who was going to haul the car, since there was no tag or insurance on the car, and that I should give him $40 for fuel costs. He wanted me to drive across town to meet with the money, and they would bring me the car later, as the car was located in Crawford county. He also said that he owned Taylor Mechanical. When I told him that I was uneasy about the whole situation and that I declined the offer, he became angry and started cussing at me.

Someone called and left message they were the IRs and filing a lawsuit against me. When I returned called and asked how did I know if they were the IRS, they hung up on me. Be on guard this is some trying to get your private information.

Called twice today. I don't answer calls from numbers I don't know. My voice mail is disabled, so no message was left, but it rang the full 10 or so rings. Call ID said the caller is Juan I. Whatever. Juan can call til his fingers fall off, but I'm not answering.

Same as the others listed above. Left message. Such thick accent could barely understand him but did make out and English name James something. (What a joke). I am sick of these constant scanners in both my home and now cell phone. Probably get 3 a week between both phones. People need to get real jobs and quit scamming hardworking people. Oh and the IRS would send you a certified letter if you were being audited. James from Pakistan or wherever wouldn't be doing their dirty work over you answering machine.
