Called number back....strange ring tone. Automated message indicating they were ???? on behalf of Xcel Energy and that they had recently made a courtesy call to me about my experience. I had been on the phone with Xcel earlier today but this message was odd....stating that they were sorry they missed me and there was no need for me to call them again. I blocked the number.

Today I got a random text from this person who claimed to be "Jack" asking me if I was still interested in joining the Army. I told him he had the wrong number because I never spoke to anyone named Jack, nor was I interested in joining the army. For the next hour or so, he kept poking and prodding me with "So why don't you want to join the army?" despite me trying to tell him that he had the wrong number. I told him he had the wrong number and to please stop texting me but he said "OK no worries, but first tell me why you don't want to join the army." I eventually had to block him.

My wife had knee replacement 11 months ago, and certainly has no use for such a thing.

Total scam, fake dating profile. Then only text no phone calls. Then magically the woman named Lisa is now on a business trip in South Africa and needs money wired to her. Then I said that's what friends and family are for, not strangers. Then it was a sob story about how she doesn't have friends anymore because her boyfriend cheated with her best friend, and her parents are dead, and her grandma is sick. Didn't fall for it and hope nobody else does either.

They have called repeatedly, both home and work numbers.
They leave a threatening message, saying charges have been
made against me, and that if I don't return their call, I will
forfeit resolving this matter without being pursued at my
home or business. The give a case number to reference to
sound official
They give no reference to who they are, or what the case is about.
It is obviously a very negative scam, as they are putting fear into
people to lure them into calling them back.

Said he was with (company) looking for work inspecting rooves for recent hail damage. Asked if I was the property owner at (our address).
Sharing this to hopefully help someone else. Most people would call a roofing specialist not them call you!
