They said they were calling from social security office and that my number has had suspicious activity press 1 to talk to someone I did to get them to stop calling all day he claims I called him i tried explaining I pressed 1 and he hung up

This is nothing but a scam, by law you must be notified by mail and you have so many days to send them a certified letter requiring them to verify in writing the claim. A claim can not be verified by a robocall like they claim. Do not send these people money or answer their calls, they are nothing but scammers.
