It rings my phone about three times, then the voice mail picks it up, and it is silence then hangs up. It never leaves a message.

This also happened to me today! "They told me that my Social Security Number was going to be suspended because of suspicious activity and I needed to press "1" for more details." This has to be a scam!!! I highly doubt the SS office calls people in this fashion. It's a weird scary sounding robotic voice that is on the voicemail. SCAM! The # was 985-242-0535

Received a text, supposedly from WALMART stating "Visa-Debit temporary locked. Call us now at 985-242-2560 to unlock." Walmart does not have the ability to lock or unlock bank cards, only that bank's fraud department can do that.

if this jerk is a telemarketer, he won't identify who he is or whom he works for. just keeps asking for the owner . . . is the owner in? 3 times within seconds. told him if he couldn't identify himself i wouldn't speak with him. again, is the owner in? is the owner in? sick of these telemarketers/idiots.

Didn't answer as we did not recognize the number or name. Looked it up & found it came from Houma, La. Called the number back since we have relatives in Houma. Thought it could be a friend of our relative trying to get in touch - possible emergency. The number 985-853-0007 showed as belonging to a Celia Coston. No one answered so we left message.
We then got a call back but from a different number & name. The lady (I will keep her name private for now) said that she rec'd the message & thought we were a telemarketer & she wanted to remove her number. We explained why we had called. But her number was completely different than the one we had left a message on. This area code was 978.

I just received a phone message from them stating arrest procedures... didn't say why, but that i had to call before the magistrate issued an arrest warrant. SInce i know for a fact i have paid my taxes in full without fraud, this has to be a scam. blocking number.

I received a call from 985-261-0185 on August 25, 2017 starting that a federal arrest warrant would be issued if I didn't return their call ~ enforcement action of the US Treasury Deparrtment/IRS. We have no issues with or owe anything to the IRS. Blocking and reporting these bogus scammers.
