Called me at 2:01 p.m. I called back, and the number was no longer in service by 2:19 p.m.

These are scammers from an Indian boiler room. I have been calling them all day, giving back to them what they are trying to do to us. I think they finally got smart and have blocked my number from call them. :) You should give it a try. Play along with them for as long as you can. I had one guy on the phone for 6 minutes before he hung up. Then I got a gal that threatened me with officers to my door in 45 minutes. I called back and got the same gal. Boy, was she *****! All in fun. :)

Has anyone reported this to authorities yet? I am going to try to, but I was hoping other have so I am not alone. It helps when they get multiple complaints about the same thing.

Just received a call from this number with same as info as many other posters. Final...legal notice...tax fraud...federal case...call now before I'm arrested! Irritating!!!

exactly the same! some robot voice saying he was a sheriff and i was being sued. I hung up. Don't answer.

Received call that case had been filed against me for unpaid taxes. Need to call back before I am arrested. Totally bogus SCAM. I have no tax issues and the IRS doesn't handle tax collections / disputes in this manner. Don't answer!

I received the very same call stating there was an issue with my taxes and I would be arrested. First off, the US Department of Treasury doesn't call people, the send letters and second, they don't just come and arrest people and third, I have NO tax issues. Total SCAM!

Same thing. I just received recorded message stating federal tax fraud filed against me and to call before I get arrested. I don't have any tax issues! I immediately called the number back and 4 times the call picks up but no one is there and then drops to a disconnect tone. Total SCAM! Ironic they send out on tax day. Not buying their trash talk!

Someone called from this number claiming they were calling regarding a tax fraud against me and to call so I'm not arrested. SCAM!!! Not sure who else to report this to.
