received the same call saying they were the irs. total scam the best way I have found to deal with these losers is to spam them back and keep calling them until they hang-up and no longer proceed to call

I called the number 252-643-4960 back and it said "thank you for calling the IRS, how can I help you?" I immediately hung up. SO, I'm certain it's an IRS scam phone call!!! As the IRS says they will never call you without sending a ton of written notices first!

I did not answer, they left a voicemail but it was just a recorded voice saying the call back number.
