May be a scammer using their number. I believe they have my iphone number and are using it to call other people. I sure wish I could get these people. Doen't seem I can do nothing about it. The scammers are one step ahead of the government. They are one pain in the ass.

In the case of a telephone contact, the IRS will still send a letter confirming the audit. E-mail notification is not used by the IRS.
