Received voicemail from Steven Johnson stating he was calling to notify me; I was going to be served a notice at my place of employment, a Supervisor had to be present and I would need 1 valid form of ID. He then goes on to say a uniformed officer may accompany him on delivery and for the safety of all parties all large animals and firearms on my person need to be put away. I am pretty sure this is a SCAM, because he never even says the name of the person he is looking for nor does he verify an address.

I received a call from one guy on 08/02/2016 on my job stating he was looking for me and needed to speak with my manager. I asked what was this is in regards to and the guy said you didn't call to have this set up? I said no, I have no idea what this is. I asked him again and he gave me this 3523891935 number and said to call because he like's for the people he has to serve know what is going on. I called the number and I'm not sure what the guys name was, but he asked for the file number but pulled my name up with out it. Said I owed a payday loan, writing bad checks. I said what I'm not paying anything. That company said it was just a loan I was trying to build my credit. I over paid them, and once I found out it was a payday loan my bank called and explained that it was illegal in my state and I paid back what they gave, plus more. The guy said do I have proof and I said no, the company would not give it to me. He said we'll good luck in court I hung up. I called back on my lunch break and spoke to another guy. This guy said I could go to court and pay all these fees or they would settle with me. I said this company has had many agencies come after me because I refuse to pay more money. The guy says if payday loans are illegal in your state, why did you take it, I said I thought it was just a small loan that I could get because I was trying to build my credit. I would have never taken the loan. He says what would I like to do. I said I guess settle, they came back with an offer and wanted all this information from me. I didn't give it and said I would have to call back. They guy said he was giving me until 12pm the next day to call back or they would serve me. Now I'm reading this and seeing this is a scam. I'm supposed to call back on 08/03/2016 to pay a settlement. I didn't listen to message until late last night.

Said they had a legal notice to serve me. Okay. At what address? They gave a street I lived in growing up (20 years ago) and the town I went to college in (1200 miles away) I'm like...okay. I'm home. Huge scam.

Called several times stating there was a legal notice that is for me and would have officers accompanying them. Also, said if they couldn't verify everyones identity at my home they would come to my place of employment. Never said what this was pertaining to or the companies name.

SCAM ARTIST. Hacked into email accounts and calls family members looking for money. Goes by David Banis but writes in Spanish and knows San Diego area well. DO NOT TALK TO THIS PERSON

Claims its JL Associates but they call you from an anonymous number. When you call this number back it beeps busy. Calls and leaves threatening voice mail messages about pressing charges and suspending your license. SCAM ARTIST Alert.
