Was an automated call saying the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me. IRS wouldnt use an automated system or a wireless phone to call.

Received 3 calls today stating they were the IRS and I owe over 8,000. Also Indian accent stating if I did not pay today I would be arrested. I told them I was calling IRS directly, and why DIDN'T I not receive any documentation from the IRS. thr person became irate and said he was adding additional fines because I questioned his identity and said today the police were coming to arrest me and take me to federal prison.

Called number back three times. Always people with an Indian accent, who gave names such as Mark Thompson or Rebecca Brown. They claimed they were the IRS, but each time they hung up when I said I would call report their scam to police.
