My phone rings six times, then whoever was calling apparently hangs up. They never leave any voice mail, so I don't know who they are.

This number kept calling my home. Caller ID was Saint Jude so I finally answered to let them know we already give to Saint Jude's. It was a collection agency looking for someone else. Seems just wrong to trick people like that.

Rude and they will call you from different 4 last phone numbers. They all start with 512-640-xxxx. If you get calls from them, good luck. I just blocked all their numbers.

These people claim they are APS Processing, and that they process legal filings for 32 states...or 31 states...or 36 states, depending on who you talk to. They also claim to have 100, 150 or 300 employees, depending again on who you talk to.
They claim to be processing legal filings for judgements against the people they call, and they call multiple family members demanding immediate payment of a debt or bad check while giving no time to verify the debt.
The thing is, there IS no APS Processing in Austin, TX or anywhere else. There's an APS Process Services in Houston which apprears to be legitimate, but I called to see whether they had any affiliates in Austin and the owner there claimed that he gets called every day about someone using the name APS in Austin and that they're scamming people out of money. In our case there was no debt and/or no bad check. They most likely scour public records for people who have had family members with previous financial or legal trouble, since

they are a collection agency with horrible attitude and do not obey FDCPA laws. They should be found, sued and also beaten to death. Just for the fun of it, which is why they DO what they do.
