Same! Text me from 512 952-4502 wanting to buy my tanning bed for $1000 sent cashiers check for $2430 to pay extra to movers. Bank thought check was suspicious so they called the bank listed Inves Tex and they said they don't even issue cashier's checks. Reported to police.

Scam! Going by name of Bill Smith now. Wanted to purchase a birdcage/playpen from me for 3x the price. In return I pay the movers.
Who buys a used (petsmart) birdcage from Hawaii and ships it to Austin Texas? Send the cashiers check,
my cousin @ Honolulu Police fraud division is bored. Beware people of the lower 48 states. Be like the people of Hawaii & Alaska, we don't do business unless we can shake your hand or see your face. If you do trust sight unseen, then deposit the check. DEPOSIT, that way you are not responsible for the money if it doesn't clear. Do NOT cash it! Same with me, wanted to buy my elliptical for 1300, sent me a check for 2800 or so and asked me to give extra in cash to the pickup guy..I got the check by 2 day usps today..I did google search on this phone number --same guy BRENT GRISHAM !!
I am trying to find out how to report this matter to FBI or something to get this to stop.
Let me know if you have tried anything to put a stop.

Yeah He is a scammer. His old number was 512 559 7398. And now he changed his number to 512 952 4502. Tried to pay me $1200 for $50 item via fake check and wanted the difference back.
Do not fall for his scam. Be aware.

This is a scam. He tried to purchase something from me using the name Brent Gresham. The original number used was 512-400-7131. I told him to send the check to 2111 W Roosevelt Rd, Chicago, IL 60608, which is the FBI Chicago office

He tried to purchase something from craigslist from me for 600.00, received cashiers check for 1900.00. Stated they were going to have movers pick item up and to pay the mover the difference of check. When asked why the check was so much more than they had originally said (1000.00) he said it was because they were also relocating some of his wife's things. He also would not call and talk and changed phone number from original number- 512-400-7102.
