Kijiji scammer posing as a buyer from Calgary Alberta, for a purchase in Vancouver. Heres is part of the text: No you don't need to be at home all days , because I will be paying you by Certified Cashier's Check, it would be delivered at your doorstep or into your mailbox and it will entail both your final price and the mover's fees. Once you receive the payment you are to make a deposit into your account and funds would surely be available within 24hrs if not instantly and no pick up will be made until you cash and have the money with you.
i respond: Too complicated
Scammer response: And They will be moving some other heavy duty goods for me with the Ariens / Honda Rear Bagger Gas Lawn Mower the moverâs funds will be included on the check when sending it once the check clear to your account and you have your payment, my mover will come for the pick up. i hope i can trust you with the excess funds?
I respond: Interesting.. your hired mover, and you send extra funds to pay him, are you sure you are not getting scammed by the driver? I am concerned for your safety, I've been copying this detail to those authorities that will watch out for you.
My further response: Apparently they know who you are, strange how that works

This number called my house phone and said hello,madam can I speak to the house owner I said I am then they asked do you have a surveillance camera at your house I didn't reply and they asked what company I didn't reply then a very scary question was asked where do you live are you at home I said I can't answer that and I am at home. Not knowing what was happening I searched up the number and all these comments show up. Warning: do not give them your address or answer there question this is a scam, I'm sure they are criminals or robbers. Please be aware of this situation

This number has called several times. Checking to see if I'm home. Creepy, they have my number and my last name. Now, they want to know if I have a security system.

I have this number blocked so my phone says Hello ? and then silence for one minute. They usually hang up before then.

This caller said he was from Honeywell Home Security. As far as I could tell, he just wanted to know what security I already had on my home. Don't talk to this fraud!

Telemarketer from some security system company. Suspicious in nature, because solicitor named a different company than Honeywell as other caller noted. Used my name to try to gain my confidence in the validity of the call.
