This is not just a scam phone call, it is a phone call used to steal your information from your computer. This is a dangerous scam that should be tracked and prosecuted by authorities. I kept them on the phone for over 20 minutes, before I blew up and called them out. It was at least 20 minutes that they could not scam someone else. The person on the other end of the phone had a heavy foreign accent. And stated that I could try to find his company, which is hiding in New York. It is because of foreigners like this, that we need to ban travel to the U.S. Keep them out, and also build the wall!!

Mysterious caller from perhaps India. Asked for me by name and then went on about 'Windows" on my computer. I decided to end the conversation very quickly. It did give me the impression of a scam. The even occurred at approximatly1245 Mountain time on Feb 7, 2017.

I got a message saying something about Internal Revenue Services and a criminal lawsuit being filed against me. It sounded like it was being read by a robot, but was very threatening. I was told that I needed to call them back immediately, "or else!"
None of it made sense.

when I called a man answered and said he was the IRS and there was a lawsuit against me for $13,848. I asked how he knew about this lawsuit against me when he didn't know who I was. I never gave my name and I called from my work phone.
He said I was his honey.

Received a call from phone # (646)-844-7685. New York, NY on caller ID. They left a Robo-voicemail msg saying the IRS WAS SUING ME, Internal Revenue Service lawsuit, said to call (646)-844-7770. After googling the phone number I got to this site & realized it's a scam, as I suspected. Still alarming, none the less. So I'm adding to this by saying ITS A SCAM & i started getting many more calls from unknown numbers & voicemails for different things after electing to receive a FREE GIFT CARD from a source online, stupid mistake on my part!!! Please note: IF YOU ARE TOLD YOU WON SOMETHING & IF ITS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE ..... then it IS NOT TRUE. It's a SCAM!!!! Don't do it!!! Now I have to change my phone NUMBER!!!

This is a total IRS Scam. I started getting these after signing up to a survey to get a walmart gift card through a mobile video game. Needless to say they never gave me the gift card and now I get about 20 scam calls a day.

I received a voice mail that the IRS is suing me. The IRS doesn't make phone calls, they use the USPS. It's a scam!

Exact same message as reported earlier today. Steve Martin stated he was contacting me about "an enforcement action by the US Treasury" and also like "failure to respond will be an intentional second offense and can result in action before a federal magistrate or grand jury"

Very similar to what others have reported here. Caller left a message. Identified himself as Steve Martin. Said he was contacting me about "an enforcement action by the US Treasury". Used intimidating language like "failure to respond will be an intentional second offense" and can result in action before a federal magistrate or grand jury. I tried calling back but with my caller ID blocked (dial *67 before the number) and the call wouldn't go through. That's a sure tell that this is a scam.

Man could not speak English very well...ROBOCALL that repeated same message three times...something about US Treasury action against me that could result in Grand Jury etc. As if I would actually believe a scam like this. Obviously someone phishing for SS numbers.
