They called and left a Robo message with a number to call back. When I did, the number was no longer in service. What a waste.

I received this Robo call from the "IRS" twice within two hours this morning. I did not pick up either time. The automated voice left a very stern message that mentioned my case file and this is my last chance. No, I did not call them back, just blocked this contact.

Received this call stating Final notice from IRS internal revenue services. The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing lawsuit against you to get more information about this case file. Please call immediately on our department number is 701-290-5300. Same. Threatening message supposedly from the IRS. Despicable. Sad to think of older people who might fall for this shameful practice.

Robo call "from the IRS." I called back, and a man, who was very hard to understand, answered. He asked for my name, DOB, and last 4 of my SSN, claiming I had a tax fraud lawsuit filed against me. I immediately called BS, even though they mask the number to appear to be calling from the IRS.
