received a call with a generic voicemail that was left on my cell phone. When I called back 720 364 9039, a man (with a very thick indian accent) said, "thank you for call the ira, how may I help you." This is an absolute scam. No one from the IRS will contact you. If the IRS wants to reach you, they will send a certified letter in the mail. Do not call these scammers back.

This was a robo-caller. They said in a forceful way,-- this is the IRS, we are going to sue you, call back this number.

I too have received a call from this phone number now 5 days in a row stating that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me and I have to call this number immediately.

This number is calling to inform me that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me for non payment of taxes!!! SERIOUSLY!!!!!!!!!!! The last time I checked the IRS does not call you to inform you they are going to sue you. The sad thing is there are some people that will actually fall for this. There is a special place in hell for people that do this.
