A woman with a foreign sounding accent called. She was very polite, but told me that she was from Windows support, and that my computer was showing infections and viruses. I asked her how she would know that and she said that it's just what they were showing. She then asked if my computer was on, and I said yes, but that I knew this was a scam call. She said that it wasn't a scam, and that she just wanted to show me what viruses were in my computer. I thanked her but told her I would have a local technician check it out and hung up.

Some scammer said my computer told him it had an error. I let him go for a while but then he got incredibly rude when I told him he was barking up the wrong tree.

a woman in a foreign accent claimed my windows computer was infected... I played along until she hung up on me....

I just had this same conversation with a male that I could not understand. He did show me where I had errors in Windows but wanted to connect with my computer. He got frustrated when I started asking questions.I abruptly ended the call. Very concerning.

Asian male named Alex called stating my computer was having an error with Windows. I asked him which computer and he asked me if I had more than one. Then he tried to get me to go to my computer and he was going to go through some technical support details that I had to do verbatim. I told him I wasn't at my computer I was at work in which I work in the IT field and my computer isn't having any problems. He then stated he would remain on the line until I was at my computer so I hung up on him.
