I was called from Middlebury, VT 1 802 458 2091 at 2:19pm It is a scam because IRS is a serious organism who will send you a letter at home not a suspicious phone call like that...I hope that everybody receiving this fake calls , share it to stop the scammers.

received a call from this number stating they were the IRS and they have filed a lawsuit against me. Not even gonna call them back because I know it's BS. The IRS does not contact you by phone but by official letter.

This was an IRS scam called. Called them back and said that I was the Managing Director for the IRS in the state where I'm located and asked for their credentials (of course I don't work for the IRS). The individual told me I was a liar and that they didn't want to talk to me. Then they hung up on me! Awesome! : )

Same as the previous person who logged. Automated voice claiming to be the IRS and that this was a final notice of a lawsuit. Said to call back immediately at the same number. Sounds like phishing.

They called said they were the IRS said I was audited and I owe 7500 that if I don't give the money they have to put out an arrest warrant for my arrest . I hung up and attempted to call the IRS and the called me back. I told them I hung up because I wanted to call the IRS because I didn't believe them . The caller got upset and was very unprofessional. Said this was my last chance and that someone would be at my house in 3 hours to arrest me.

I returned the call twice. Both were answered by persons with very heavy Asian accents. The first was nearly impossible to understand so I hung up but I was able to get that he claimed to be an "officer" with the Internal Revenue Service. I called back and got another person, also claiming to be an officer with the IRS. He was a little easier to understand. "George Shawn, badge #654320ââ¬Å. He insisted that they needed to update my information to determine why the IRS was after me. My wife was searching web for info on the phone number and found this site. She said to me "its a scam" while I was on the phone with the "officer" which he heard and immediately hung up.

Message left on my cell phone: robotic voice claiming message was 'final notice' of an IRS lawsuit against me. (Ooookay.) Said it's urgent I call back. I don't believe I will, thanks anyway.

received a voicemail saying i was being sued by the IRS and it was a final notice. i did not return the call as the IRS says they will never make contact by phone.

Automated scam claiming to be the IRS and they've filed a lawsuit against me. Called them back and called them out on being a scam. They hung up on me. I called back again and they denied it and laughed.
