Informed me that I was being sued by the IRS for back taxes. Claimed I was mailed notices 3 times about this case #BC2158. Asked me if I intentionally misfiled my taxes for the years 2005-2010. Claimed I owed over $8000 in taxes.

This was a robo call to advise me that I am being sued by the IRS and that I should call their number immediately to get information about the law suit.

An absolute scam. The IRS doesn't call with the robo-message that you're being sued. Read about their process on the IRS website (yes, the gov't apparently has loyalty first to USPS when it comes to notification of taxes owed). People who are behind these scams should be rotting in prison IMO.

Robo call doing the IRS scam. First and foremost the IRS does NOT call taxpayers they snail mail you a bill. So this is a SCAM and when you get these kind of calls, please report them to the proper authorities. Do NOT fall for the scam.
