I got a message saying "my socials" been suspended because of fraudulent activity on my state. The phrasing was almost laughable but it's a really evil scam to try and pull.

messed the call. i called back, and the person said this is social security office, and he is an officer there. than asked my name and last name i did not told him. when i said i never received a call from SS he hang up on me.

Automated message claiming it was the Social Security Administration and my SSN was about to be "paused" due to fraudulent activity. I called the SSA to confirm this is spam.

Man asked if the Man or Woman of the house was there. I did not say yes but asked if he knew my name. He again just said if the man or woman of the house was in. I made some sort of remark and he just hung up.

A prerecorded message mentioned the IRS and told me to call them back as soon as I hear the message.
I know there is no reason for the IRS to try to contact me, they did not ask for anyone by name and I have only had this particular phone number for a short time and have placed it on the do not call registry.
The area code for this number is Tallahassee, FL - my phone is a metro Detroit Michigan area code, I do not know of an IRS office in Florida.

They call constantly 1-2x's a day & the caller ID says Unknown, they never leave a message. No one should be calling us for anything....having a landline phone anymore is almost too big of a hassle.
