My grandfather had the same experience. Female automated voice stated charges were being placed by the IRS, and he would be arrested in 24 hours if he didnââ¬â¢t call back.... on a Saturday. Clearly the IRS isnââ¬â¢t open on Saturday or based in Yonkers.

Following somewhat threatening g message was left twice in one day.

Illiterate robocaller using your phone for their opportunity to annoy you. Sadly, the phone company will allow them to annoy you because you pay them for their service. The Government refuses to stop this illicit behavior because crooks enjoy free speech.
Phone companies and the US Gov are totally ineffective in providing oversight and protection for the common good. They all want your money for this service.

Shows up on my caller ID as restricted number. I let it go to voicemail. When I check my messages it starts with "To resolve this case contact 914-410-8119". There is no information about who is calling or what type of case...I believe this is complete spam. I've had the same call before, but I have no 'cases' against me.

This call came from Yonkers, NY: I live in Utah. There are no serious allegations against me and they wouldn't have any idea about what the Utah police are going to do. Total SCAM.
