SPAM: PRETEND THEY CALL FROM A CIVILIAN COURT.
August 2, 2018 9:28 pm
John is the name of the person I was to return a call to. From what I understand, he is from a 3rd party collection group. They purchase uncollectable account that the bank call bad debt or uncollectable funds. The bank writes it off to BAD DEBT and either their insurance or tax deduction satisfies the banking files so they can balance. If the debt is fraud or from identy theift, then most likely, the bank after rigorous investigation, call it uncollectable. When the bank sells this debt to third parties, they sell a bunch of accounts with any info they may have and almost always last 4 ss# and a originating debt and also a reference #.
I was advised by a consumer advocate group that you are not obligate to pay this debt because the bank was paid off by insurance or written off for tax purposes to BAD DEBT. They said if you want to really stop them, have them return a call to your local police dept.!
This in my "TAKE AWAY" from the advise given to me. Please check with consumer advocate groups associated with the FBI. This was the interpretation of the message the advocates group provided. I suggest you double check my info.

This call came at 8:30p.m. When I answered the phone nobody answered back. Then there was silence for about 15 seconds before they hung up.

Clever trick. When you ask "Hello?" the message starts talking, as if she has a hard time hearing you. Then giggles and says, "Whoops, sorry, was having some trouble with my headset."
We're not stupid, and we don't need 75% off some magic resort or whatever you're selling.

Was in the middle of something so declined this call. It immediately called again; declined again. Quiet for now.

A guy named Josh first asked if I could hear him and then said he was from a customer services company and that I had won a family vacation, I then hung up on him and he called back from another number.
