Rec'd it in a suspicious email. These people have been trying to get any kind of response from me for years. It's a 419 scam out of Nigeria. I have never responded in any way, but I have loads of saved "urgent" requests and warnings from everyone from government heads of Nigeria to Michelle Obama, all trying to get me to send my personal information. This last one was from some guy "WORKING AT THE FOREIGN OPERATION DEPT OF CITY NATIONAL BANK CALIFORIAN". The letter opened with "Hi Dear,", certainly from someone who uses English as his first language! Anyway, he claims someone is trying to divert funds from my account to their own, and only I can stop this nefarious act. He closes, giving the phone number in question as his business phone.
