Legitimate. I wish I could modify my previous comment, but there doesn't seem to be any way to do that.
Crystal called from 905-725-4826, a number in Oshawa, but left the number 1-833-305-2033 and an extension to call her back.
After combing the Canada Revenue Agency network list of contact numbers, I did find the number she gave and it related to the HST compliance department. I did speak with Crystal and she is very professional, helpful, and legitimately with Revenue Canada.
We must always be cautious, and unfortunately there are a lot of scams relating to the CRA, but this is not one of them.
In this case, I went to the following link:

and clicked on 'telephone numbers for businesses' and found the number listed there.

Also check your own personal contact numbers in your CRA file, the reason Crystal had contacted me was because my number was the one given in our file, and somehow both my husband and I had completely forgotten this. (The business is in his name, but he is seldom home during CRA hours)

Crystal sounded very professional and said she was calling from the Canada Revenue Agency regarding my husband's HST account. She even knew the name of his company. She gave another number which does look legitimate 1-833-305-2033 x1242 but as she was calling the name the of the business showing on my phone was 'CAN REVNU AGCY' in Oshawa. Beware, it's best to wait for official documents from CRA.

(905) 725-4372 is a valid Canada Revenue Agency phone number assigned to the Business Number Review section in Oshawa, ON. Callers from this section would generally be calling to review and verify contact and account information on newly registered corporations - they do ask for any financial information. Should you wish to validate the legitimacy of the call, you can call the CRA Business Enquiries published toll free number at 1-800-959-5525. They will be able to confirm that a note was placed on your new corporation account by the individual who has attempted to contact you from (905) 725-4372.

This is a legitimate phone number for Canada Revenue Agency which is located in Oshawa, Ontario.

The same thing happened to me. The caller ID said Gov't of Canada, but they didn't know basic info they should have. I hung up and did a search for scam and your website came up. ;-)

This number called and were saying they are calling from Canada revenue agency and I hang up cause they were asking for personal info.
