The call from this number came in with no name associated with it. I do not answer calls with no name. Just wanted a name via reverse number lookup. Seems to be impossible to just get a name from a number without having to pay. Will just have to gather up all of my unidentified umbers and go to a library and check local phone books to view reverse number lookup.

This number was used as phone number to exchange text messages from a person appearing on match.com using the name Phyllis. After exchanging texts for about one month I was asked to send the person $5000. This appears to be an attempt to solicit money.

Keep getting calls from different 249 number non stop!! 10-12 a day will block one number and they call from another. They never leave a message.

Received a text from this number even though information states it was a landline, the text said: âHey, is this (my first name)?â. They knew my first name, and did not respond after initial text. My wife received an identical text, with her first name, and it came from a different unknown number to us.

7:48 a.m. call, a raspy female voice saying "Hello?" and nothing else. I suspect it is the scam that wants you to say "Yes?" as many do, then whoever calls uses your response to sign you up for stuff then, if you object, they use your recorded voice to say that you consented to whatever they did. Got a follow up call at 8:06 with the same voice, thus confirming it is a scam.

Someone called Sunday 11/24/19 at 7:57PM PST. I answered, no one was there, and left no message. I would advise anyone who gets a phone call from any phone # that no one is on the other end, hang up, and do not call it. SCAM & FRAUD!!! Do NOT call these people back. It is a SCAM. They are trying to scare people in to thinking that the Social Security Office is after them for fraud. If the Social Security officials need to reach anyone, they will do it by mail. Do NOT respond to any calls from this number.
