Yes a text was sent and tried to hijack or piggyback onto a contact in my phone. Then when I deleted it it tried to glom onto another separate contact in my messages area. Very strange indeed.

New cell phone, only for me and my girlfriend to keep in touch.
I rent a car and the very next day after returning it I get an unwanted call from someone/telemarketer with a foreign accent trying to sell me car insurance!
Very ticked off because it would seem the that the rental car company sold my phone number!

This is a Thank you for using VISA & MASTERCARD scam. They are using spoofed phone numbers on calling number ID to make you think it is a local call.. When I call the number back, I get a number no longer in service announcement.

The people calling from this number state they are at 515 Westlake Avenue N, Seattle, Washington 98109, not Sheldon, WA.
They are running at least timeshare purchase scams along with a company going as Progressive Northwestern Insurance.
