Yes, texted, offering to buy my chairs, listed in 55+ senior community website for sale ad. Instead of buying w/cash wants to pay with cashierâs check; wait for me to cash it & have someone pick up the chairs. Sounds complicated for 4 chairs at $99/each in my 55+ Senior community. Now he wants my address for the check. Not sure if he wants to rob me or what?

Yes someone called me from 1-(443)-235-9997 They left me a Happy Birthday message and it was funny. This number is NOT SPAM I didn't answer the call as I like most people don't answer phone numbers we don't recognize. Unfortunately reverse number search was a FREE service since the early years of the internet but now greediness took over! Sad :-( I've paid a few of these site for the information and it was either incorrect and or outdated. I tested a few reverse phone number websites with numbers I knew and many of the phone numbers were with the same person or business for decades. Seems many copy or share information with the other so-called information service providers but none seem to verify the information they sell or share.

Seems you're the scam since you claim to be a reverse caller server but you FAIL to provide the name/address linked to a phone number. You're shilling for a fee-paid directory but you FAIL to mention that UP FRONT, thus wasting our time.
At least you're not providing FAKE names the way so many other scam reverse services do, but that's not really a plus.

I received a scam email saying they had successfully charged me for a renewal of a nonexistent service contract. Below is the relevant snippet of the email:

This phone number given to me by someone calling himself David Madison on Craigslist, who answered one of my ads. I believe he may be a scammer - trying to get my email address - possibly to send malware. No proof of this, but he's not answering my questions directly. Similar to a previous spammer I dealt with on Craigslist.

I've been receiving a lot of calls in which nobody talks. It rings, I answer.....few seconds...then they hang up. It's really frustrating.

Caller said they were from the social security administration and wanted to verify my activity as I was blocked. I do not believe it was legit-so I am contacting the main SSC to see if it is real.

They mentioned being an extended auto warranty company and that they were calling to allow me the opportunity to extend the auto warrenty, well after asking the name of the company I was rudely hung up on. I called back a few times but eventually the number would no longer ring. They are rude and should not be allowed to harrass anyone.
