I received a call from a William Brown 118526 Case No. CP260841-2019
He identified himself as being from the United States Postal Inspection Service
(USPIS); said that our identity had been stolen; something about 9 bank accounts; he mentioned crimes of money laundering, drug smuggling across
the southern border from Mexico; noted that I was named (?) in some document
as wanted for money laundering, theft, illegal transport of drugs (Norco and other drugs were listed by name; that my citizenship and social security no.
would be revoked, my ID "compromised" and that they would have to
issue a false identity and new social security no. for me; and that he had no
other option but "to take me in" to the police station".

received a call from this number today person stating his name was Dee. He wanted to know if I would be interested in leads for veterans who need to get a loan. Told me he was with a company called Luke Guy but he would not tell me how he got my number or where Luke Guy company was located. Stated they were out of several cities and he could not give me an address nor could I find anything about them on the internet.

They keep asking for a person who they insist has my number and when I tell them that they have the wrong number they insist that I give a person the message and a weird phone number to call back on and when I ask who it was they said they were with "the firm" couldn't give me a name or actual business

Uses a Robo call feature and hangs up after saying hello. When you call the number on your caller ID you'll speak with a representative who you inform that you received a call from them or their company. They give you a name but don't answer who they were trying to reach when you ask them and insist you give them personal information rather than say they were looking for a particular person. They say it's a personal matter and they're not obliged to speak to anyone else but the person subject to the inquiry. However, when you say okay well who do you wish to speak to? Their response is who am I speaking with or can I have your name? Kinda odd and evasive. Report them to the do not call registry even if they are a legitimate business because something isn't right in the manner they are proceeding if you get a call from them.
