Received an e-mail, purporting to be from PayPal, claiming to be confirming that I had made a purchase today for $521. Not so. They had my correct name and e-mail address. This number (808 758-0098) was included to call if I had any questions. I'm not calling b/c that could give them more info about me. Had some difficulty doing a reverse number lookup, though I knew that the 808 area code encompasses the entire State of Hawai'i. Callreceived.com pinpointed the source as the small town of Waipahu, on the Island of Oahu. While O'ahu is the capitol, business and population center of Hawai'i, it is unlikely that PayPal has an office in Waipahu. I will be notifying my bank to be on the lookout for a $521 transaction and may notify law enforcement

This is close to Bank of America fraud but not quite. Bank of America is 1-800 not 808. He was trying to get my credit card information by stating there was fraud on the account and he just needed to verify information. THIS IS FRAUD! Do not answer, DO NOT give him any of your information. Just hang up on him and call the actual phone number on the bank of your credit card.

Regarding the number above, I looked on the Map, it reportedly belongs to Aulani Resort, which IS a part of the Aston Resorts. BUT, the recording where I Left the message, was an Old type answering machine. So I can only guess the number was Spoofed. This has happened quite Frequently. There was also an incident with a First Hawaiian Bank (Management) number that was spoofed.

It came up on Caller ID as Davenport, Kathy. The scam is telling people that they won a "Stay" at the Aston Hotels and for being a valuable customer. LOL! Have not even STAYED at any Hotels for the past 20 years. When I pressed one to tell the people to go to Hell, it said I was caller in line 6 and then the line went dead. THIS IS A LIVE NUMBER, at least I believe it is as no one answered and I had to leave a message.

Someone called me from this number saying they were with the IRS and that I owe 7503.00 usd. When I said I don't believe them and that they were a fraud they hung up on me.
The lady was clearly foreign and she said her name was Nicki Brown her badge # was IRC21114537 and gave me a case number of DC85634211. Beware

Received voice message claiming to be from AT&T Wireless saying my account had been suspended for verification, with options to respond. Did not return the call. Called AT&T customer service and they verified my account was not suspended.

I usually let unknown phone calls go to voicemail. This one left a garbled message. I texted the number and asked who it was. Edward Tull, which is probably fake. They called back and didn't leave a message. Then texted back and said 'JUNIOR I'M GOING TO KNOCK YOU OUT...PUNK'. To which I replied 'Right, dickhead. Troll.' Then I blocked the number.

Medcah, Bill collector. It's legit.
They are actually one of the few bill collection agencies that aren't assbackwards in their collection practices. I've slipped up and had fallen on hard times. I'd describe my dealings with Medcah as uneventful/nonstressful, especially in comparison to other collectors.

Called called saying she was from The Queens Medical Center. Right off the bat she asks for Full Name, Date of Birth & Address claiming based on Federal Health Records Regulations she is required to verify the person she is speaking to before disclosing any information. When I proceeded to ask what is this in regards to and how do I know she is really from The Queens Medical Center she got angry and hung up on me.
