I received a phone call from this number from the "Student Services Department" telling me I have a outstanding federal student loan balance. I received a phone call from 310-421-9694 yesterday telling me the same thing. I paid for my school without loans. I do not have a balance. Seems like spam to me.

Caller left message claiming to be Tom Steyer pushing some student loan forgiveness scam. Wanted me to call 916-975-0315 and give reference number 4683 to see for what program I can qualify. But I have no student loan. SCAM!

Some scam. Man called with a heavy foreign accent (from India it sounded) stating I won financial aid funds and did I know what that was. Previous day they had called 16 times from various numbers changing last 4 digits as I blocked each one. Told him not to call my number again and didn't acknowledge that I was the person he was looking for but he stated my name correctly. They called in my cell phone and I have AT&T.

Calling for expiring auto extended coverage...it's a scam. Have repeatedly asked them to put me on the DNC list and stated that they weren't doing anything illegal. Attempted a call back and it goes to a cellular phone with voice mail for M&M storage company in Florence, SC.

Called my cell phone this afternoon. I didn't hear it ring and didn't answer. No voicemail message was left. CID only showed phone # and South Carolina (of course not in my contacts and any further info would not show in cell phone's CID).

got an automated message asking to answer 3 questions. after answering the message was we won a trip to the Bahamas. (the 11 year old fell for all of this) ... no personal information was given so I am not sure what the idea of this particular scam is.
