Got a text from this number, Said something about missing my birthday, and then a link to "make it up to me" My Birthday is in about 12 days so not thing missed yet. looks like a legit number that someone hijacked

Scam for car warranty. Called my 13 year oldââ¬â¢s phone twice just in the last 2 hours. These criminals are pitiful. Wish the law would do something with them since they even target kids for their crimes.

Sent me a message on Instagram pretending to be LuckyDay App and said that I won $250,000 and a $5,000 Amazon Gift Card. Wanted me to verify my age, occupation, email address, physical mailing address, and asked if I had a Bank account. That threw a red flag right there. I played along to see how hard they pretended to me legit. Then they went on to ask how I wanted to recieve my winnings. They would deliver a check through Fed EX but I had to Pay $236 in order for them to deliver it. Haha, that is when I absolutely knew it was scam. I said to send me proof that I actually won. They actually sent me a Picture of a suitcase full of money (laughing out loud). I replied "oh you send cash in the mail" to which they replied No way. Then i asked to be contacted by the manager and they called me back and of course it was a man with a middle eastern accent by the name of James Smith or something which a typical American day would be. I hung up immediatly. TOTAL SCAM. They probably wanted my bank info to wipe my account out.

I got two call in a row on my cell phone which I did not answer.
So, I called it back on my land line and was told they did NOT call me and that they are in the electronics rental business.
The guy I spoke to was nice but said they do not "cold call" people.

probably some sort of sales call. Called my work, asked for our VP by name, said he was his friend Mike, asked for last name, said Kelly. The caller ID said Dan Busby.
My boss says he doesn't know either one of them.

They called and said that I had an affidavit that was sent out and said they needed to speak with me or my assigned attorney about my upcoming court case. When I said I had no idea what she was talking about, she was asking if I was who I was and gave an address that is 5 years old. That the affidavit was sent to that address. ( I have had 4 other residents since then.) She claimed that I have to speak with her before Friday or she will be submitting to the state saying I was not willing to work with her.

I just now got the same irritating call. Didn't answer it, but they left it on my VM. My cell phone is on the do not call list. How do these people get our numbers? I will be reporting it, but it's probably a throw away phone.

My mom got the very same phone call just now and she did call back stating that she's going to report their number to the authorities they replied "No problem a Sheriff will be by you soon"
This is a large scam and don't fall for it...

Got an automated voice message on my cell from this number. Same "IRS lawsuit" scam that's been on the news recently. Says to call back "for more information about this case file."
Simple solution: don't answer calls from this number and don't call them back.
