I did some digging into this number and party claiming to be the IRS and after three days I've had it. I contacted the IRS and several other branches of the government and realizing that the government doesn't act so quickly on these scams but the FTC has reported on similar scam attempts.

I decided to act on the number itself and got in contact with T-Mobile who as of 2/10/16 has shut the number down. So while the chain may be broken at this point, these clowns may find another cell number to use.

If you're getting called on your cell phone, contact your carrier regardless of who you're with. That way the number in question can be shared with all mobile carriers and block any further calls with this scam.

They have called me over 10 times today. When I told them I was reporting them, they swore at me using the F word. I am reporting this to the IRS today. They IRS will NEVER call you. You will get a letter!

I keep getting calls from this number, all day long. When answered there is noone there. I called back and a man with a strong accent answered stating IRS. Claimed that I owed back taxes and when I wouldn't give him my information he told me that the local sherif would be contacting me in 45 min to an hour. I told him I was going to call the police on him, he proceeded to hang up on me.

This number has called every hour today. It first listed as Egypt so I was concerned about answering so I didn't. Looks like that was a good guy judgement as someone posted they're saying they're the IRS calling about unpaid taxes and try to get as much personal info as quickly as possible. Do not answer calls from this number!!
