This is such a stupid scam, the IRS does not just call, they send you a registered letter. But I can see why some people might fall for this scam because it's "THE IRS". I think there should be more done to let people know.

They called and left a message that the IRS is filing suit against me and to call that number back, knowing it was a scam I called them back and when the guy answered the phone he had a very heavy accent and answered it IRS...I Informed him that i reported the phone number to the FBI and to get out and get himself a real job instead of robbing innocent people of their hard earned money......with that he hung up.

This was the call-back number cited in the classic "This is the IRS calling" scam. It was answered by someone with such a heavy Indian accent that it was difficult to understand. It seems to me that USCC is complicit in an an illegal operation and may well be liable. I intend to report this activity to the FCC.
