Same as the above. Scam. Sourced via LinkedIn. Gave mailing address and received Canada Post with cheque made out to myself. Insisted the funds be transferred to BMO account without a hold. Fortunately, the bank held the funds so personally not out of any funds­. Well planned scam.

This is most certainly a scam. I actually received a check. It was from a third party. Supposedly a business subsidiary of Bothwell Investment. I found the whole thing unbelievable from the start. Once I had the check in hand I received several e mails from the Chinese company contact and 1 phone call from Allen Bothwell urgently requesting that I deposit the check and send them my deposit slip. I don't think so. I will be taking all correspondence to proper authorities to deal with or at least have on file.

Same here but I didnt get to the cheque part yet. What a load of bull we found you on linked in etc. Yeah when it sounds too good to be true it isn't. Don't belive them. It is a very well worked out scam. Metzuki Engineering. Their website is so cheap. It felt like a scam from the very begining. Now I know it is.

This is a scam. An email is sent from a “Chinese company” asking to represent them on US and Cad market as dept. collection. They send signed agreement, and promise salary. Then you get a phone call from Allen Bothwell, with request for you to send him info where to send check to. I gave him a warning. If anyone receives another complaint, I will be happy to forward my email correspondence and I think we should send it to police. He operates out of Saskatchewan.
