I am in process of load modification through Ditech. The number they originally call on is a listed number for Ditech, 800-700-9242. The said if I wired $$ they could complete modification. I wired $$ and got a call from Ditech. After a lengthy conversation CSR assured me they had no records of this transaction. Cross-referenced the attorney name I wired $$ to and that name was not one of their attorneys. Fortunately I was able to contact MoneyGram and get a refund, including service charge. I EVEN questioned rep, etc.

They called and said that they were from my mortgage company and I had to call back immediately because they had a legal action against me. Called my mortgage company and there was no such case. Nothing in their records about any agents calling me.
