It's a scam. I got the same call offering me 9000 and I would need to go to the nearest dollar general and pay 210 just to get the voucher but 9000 would be put in my account. What a bunch of idiots. Don't fall for it.

Yep, Just got off the phone with Kevin Foster, who had an East Indian accent. Hmmmm. He wanted to give me a $9000 grant from American Recovery and Reinvestment. They are pretty slick, the have all the information, addresses & phone numbers on the tip of their tongue so it rolls off almost authentically. Of course I was Google-ing this while speaking with him. The lengths some people go...Get a real job and stop scamming people.

I was told to call this number to collect government funds.

1st call I actually picked up since no number appeared (caller ID but at least it wasn't one of the unknown wireless caller ;-) Imagine my "surprise" to be 1 of only 700 people in our great nation selected for $9K grant (American Recovery Reinvestment Act). . . I am in one of my fun moods and played along). Naturally last day for us citizens selected since "taxes paid our taxes on time, didn't file for bankruptcy and had no criminal record in the last 6 months" (almost started laughing). I asked their location which was "situated 200 Independence Ave, Washington DC" and lots federal agencies located . . and after some confirmation, Money Confirmation Number and this Callback Number to the Senior Accounts Dept given, I asked why it wasn't a DC area code. Was waiting to see how they would get the financial information and that would be either via Direct Bank Deposit, Credit Card, and Money Gram. Figured that! I thanked Josh and hoped he has a great day. Don't fall for it!

You have to be all kinds of stupid to fall for this!! They have called me 6 times in the last two days. Yep, they want to give me a $9,000 grant....I kept him on the phone and messed with him for a while. I asked him his name....John Smith....yep the first Asian John Smith I've ever met. I laughed at him and he finally got mad and hung up on me.

this is a scam they are asking you to send 250 dollars through money gram in order to recieve 9000 in student loan non repayable..first you send money to JUSTIN SMITH in clearwater fla to recieve the SO CALLED MONEY.. asking for credit card.....SCAM SCAM SCAM.. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES>>>scumbags

these people had called me numerous times asking for my boyfriend when i would tell them he wasnt around they would hang up, say they would call back or would not leave message. Our experience was same as sarah chosen for 9,000 grant money but want 200 to do it. Boyfriend went off on them n hung up

I got a call from this number. They told me I was chosen to receive a $9,000 grant from the government to help pay off my debt. They said they could put the money right into my bank account or sent through western union. I chose western union. I was then given a great ID # and told to call this number back (not realizing right away that it was the number that called me). I called the number back and had to leave a message. When they called back they eventually told me that I would have to pay $200+ to register with the Federal Reserve Bank, and would get the money back ontop of the grant amount. I told them no...of i have to pay anything to get the grant I didn't want it.
My husband called the number back trying to get some information from them and the lady gave him her name but wouldn't give him the name of the company that she works for. He continued to ask and she finally asked him if he was a 'terrorist'. What the heck.
