when I replied no, they asked me to reply with 6 digit google verification code to remove my number from the account that added it. (i have 2-step verification on my phone so that no one can log into a new device without inputting the code that sends to my phone upon a log in attempt)
I then received 2 texts from Google with a code, so they were obviously attempting to log in to my account. I replied "GO F**** yourself" and never heard back. :)
