Called 5 times in a row. First time, they told me an Amazon purchase was made on my behalf and I needed to cancel ASAP if I didn't want to be charged. They were calling my parents landline, and were sending the email to a 15 year old email i just re-activated a few days ago. Weird, right?. I have no account, Amazon or otherwise, linked to either that phone number or email. After I talked to them and played along for a few minutes, I hung up. They called again 4 more times (I answered once then hung up). The 5th time they left an angry voice mail telling me I needed to follow the link or else I would be charged for an Iphone 8 that I didn't order. I can see how an elderly or older person. or just someone very trusting and unaware of these types of scams could easily fall for this. They were convincing.
They sent an email to the email I had just re-activated (from 15 years ago) pretending to be Amazon.
