So glad I found this page!! Janell has been calling our company repeatedly asking to speak to the President about the changes in his merchant account. We do not do credit card processing here nor have a merchant account. We've notified our attorney about this scam.

A lady from Merchant Services just called me even after I hung up on her. She insists our company President needs to be advised of the changes to our account as it has been flagged. I told her she can mail whatever it is she has to say, she said she can't mail us anything it has to be said over the phone. I said if you can say it you can mail it. She still insisted this was a professional call and asked me to transfer her to someone else who could her and I said no way. We went back and forth, on and on, but I wouldn't budge. I already know this whole Merchant Services scam. It's been around for a long time. She said she would call back and ask to speak to someone who is more professional, I told her "Good Luck".

Received a call from Tanesha, on 9/12/2016 at 3.40 PM, supposedly from Merchant Services. She stated that the call was regarding a change that has occurred on our account and is already in effect. Gave us a reference number 85xPN .

We will NOT call back !

"Rachel" from Merchant Services insisting that our company has an account with them for processing credit and debit cards. Hung up on her, but she called right back saying this wasn't a sales call. She needs to inform the owner that some changes have been made to our account. She asked if I knew what the "risk matrix portion" of our account was and that the changes affected it. When I re-stated that our company does not process credit or debit cards she still insisted that we do and that I was confused. So I said I would take down all her information for the owner, starting with number of the account she was talking about...and she hung up. Pretty sure she was phishing.

This person actually called at least 10 times and I repeatedly asked that they stop. Finally I told them to never call back and they still called 2 more times. Very obnoxious!

They keep calling and saying they are "merchant services."
I called our credit card processor and our bank and they said these people are a scam. They will unknowingly get you to fax or email a merchant services agreement with them. They are similar to "Northern Leasing". Look them up on google. Beware guys, hang up on them and dont give them any info!!!!

Actually, I did keep asking what company and she kept stalling and just saying "Merchant Services" about changes to our account. And I would say "Which account with which company?" and she finally said "umm, whatever company you have your credit cards with..." and I hung up. Then she called back and was very sincere saying "It's very important that your manager call us back so here's the reference number etc.". I know she'll be calling back. Thanks to everyone for helping clarify these scams.

We got at call just now on our business line, extremely rude and unprofessional; demanded my name and claimed her company was "Merchant Services;" wouldn't identify herself. Said she would be noting on the "file" that I wouldn't give her my name although she gave me a "Record ID" and would tell the owner. I'm protecting the owner from THESE CALLS!
