March 20,2019 I received a letter stating that I won the Platinum Lottery and a check for 6,997.00 was enclosed. See attached letter and copy of check.
The letter stated that I should call the number on the letter and ask for a man name Marvin Lawrence. He answered the phone and identified himself as same.
I explained to him that I was calling to acknowledge the award letter and the check that I received. Mr. Lawrence asked the following questions:
1. What is your name?
2. What is the PIN # on the letter?
3. What is the check number?
4. What is your telephone number?
After about 10 seconds, Mr. Lawrence stated that my check was good and that I could cash the check. He therefore stated that after the check was cashed, I needed to call him back for further instructions as to how I can receive the balance of my winnings.
Claimed that I won $500,000, sent me an award letter and a check for $6997. I never deposited the check because the letter and the check didn't appear to be real.

I received an interac e-transfer in the amount of $53.45 via text on September 12 using a Rogers Telephone number out of St. JOhn's Nfld. I deleted it without opening.

Same thing. Received an email September 12th advising of a $53.45 CAD refund due to an overcharge on an interact e-transfer. Deleted email without tapping.

I got a text of an overpayment of $57 on an interac. I'm sure it's a scam. I didn't click the link. Just deleted the text.

They sent me an interact money transfer supposedly cause I overpaid some bill
I was sceptical as it was an attachment and no where did it say where it was from I figured if I opened it, it would probably hook into my banking information
I couldn't really see if I overpaid for something they should just give me a credit on my next statement
Anyway I didn't open it
