Probably a crank call but Iââ¬â¢m not certain. Called at 10:24pm on a weeknight and first off requested toilet paper. Being neighborly I replied ââ¬ÅSure, come by and get some.ââ¬Â They went on to tell me that they were calling so Iââ¬â¢d bring some by. To which I asked, ââ¬ÅOk where am I taking it?ââ¬Â
The speakerââ¬âsounded much like a frail old woman, said that it had been so long since sheââ¬â¢d talked to someone, that she was so lonely since her husband died.
It was too much to bear, and too suddenly. I hung up. Now I feel slightly ashamed and I hope it was a crank call.
