Got a call claiming I owe tax money for the 2015 and 2016 years and should prepare to appear in court to fight my case and penalties. I recognized it as a scam, and after a couple of minutes ended the call.

Yes, I received a text message on my cell phone today from the above phone number. It said that I was facing being dealt with regarding a federal crime. NOT knowing who it was that called & not realizing that I could trace the call, I called them & left a message to call me tomorrow. Having since talked w/my attorney, I will screen all calls for the next few days & not respond to anything from them.
